Cold Plunge

Cold Plunge

We offer two separate cold immersion tubs set at slightly different temperature ranges to accommodate the needs of different experience levels with cold immersion therapy. We recommend between 3 to 6 minutes of cold immersion therapy to maximize benefits.

Benefits of Cold Water Immersion

  1. Improves Your Lymphatic System: The lymphatic system is composed of vessels that run throughout your body. It helps flush away bacteria, microbes, and waste from your cells, thus cleansing your body.
  2. Improves Your Blood Circulation: Cold Water Immersion stimulates your body’s blood flow into your vital organs, letting your heart pump efficiently, which results in a better blood supply in your system, giving it the nutrients and oxygen it needs.
  3. Reduces Muscle Inflammation: High-intensity workouts and other activities may cause muscle soreness and inflammation, which can be painful and uncomfortable. CWI, on the other hand, reduces swelling, cramps, and arthritis—numbing your nerve endings to bring immediate pain relief.
  4. Boosted Metabolism: Exposure to extreme cold can activate brown fat, which burns calories to generate heat, potentially aiding in weight management.
  5. Immune System Support: Regular cold exposure stimulates the production of immune cells, potentially increasing resilience against common illnesses.
  6. Improved Mental Health : Cold plunging has been shown to increase dopamine concentrations by up to 250% and release endorphins, often resulting in a post-plunge “euphoric” feeling. Cold water immersion also helps lower cortisol levels and strengthens the nervous system’s ability to handle stress.
  7. Better sleep and Increased Energy: The initial “cold shock” provides a natural alertness boost, similar to a caffeine kick, by releasing noradrenaline. Research has also showed that cold water therapy can improve sleep outcomes and reduce nighttime restlessness.
